Facial lymphatic drainage
The lymphatic system can be compared to our body’s circulatory system, but unlike the latter, the lymphatic system does not have a ‘pump’ (like the heart) and lymphe is moved through the body by our own activity – daily exercise like walking, maybe yoga or other sports. And physical manipulation – massage! When performing lymphatic drainage, it is important to start with opening up through the neck and collarbones, otherwise it has no effect and the fluids will only gather at the nodes. By stimulating lymphatic flow, excess fluids (causing puffy eyes, dark circles and dull skin) will be transported quicker.
